Spider silk has been a hot topic this year. From
strengthening it to creating clothing from it. Now, scientists are rushing to
see who can replicate the silk in its highest quality. For most scientist, the
rush is for a specific reason. For one university, they hope to be able to
repair tissue in the heart after a heart attack. For other scientists, they are
working to create items for defense departments or they simply want to make a
more biodegradable world. No matter what the reason, this substance seems to be
what many departments are raving about.

“Mark swiftly grabbed his jacket and made for his Acura.
Reaching for the ignition of his car Mark was suddenly aware that someone was
nearby. Slowly, he lifted his head and stealthily scanned the area when
suddenly a light knock on the window. It was Mairis. Mark sighed with relief as
he opened the door.”_Spidersilk the novel

Wormholes play a huge role in science fiction. You can even
find them in Spidersilk the novel. But, can they really help us travel through
space and time? The quick answer is yes. An astronaut recently posted about
time travel through a wormhole being entirely possible, but not in the manner
you think. If you travel through a wormhole to a destination and back again
your time may have only been a few decades, whereas Earth time may have been
thousands of years. So, in a sense, you would have traveled through time.
If you want to know more about this concept, check out the

Mark, the main character in Spidersilk the novel, often
travels by hyperspace. When you read the book, you might picture the classic
way that hyperspace travel has always looked. However, this imagining of
hyperspace travel is incredibly inaccurate. Scientists recently did some math
and now know that hyperspace travel could be entirely dark or a blue or purple
glow due to the speed at which you would pass light.
