Scientists have had their eye on using spider silk for many medical purposes. In some ways, they have already achieved greatness in this field, but in many other areas scientists are racing against time to find a way to utilize spider silk. For starters, scientists hope to use spider silk to help fight cancer and to reproduce tissue; however humans lack the ability to mimic the proteins needed to process the silk. Luckily, scientists recently made a breakthrough that could allow spider silk to be used to help with many ailments, corrective surgeries and new methods of delivering drugs.

In Spider silk novel, the intruders from another dimension have to work with a series of disabilities. They have made lots of technology to help them combat this though. In our own world, disability technology is improving by leaps and bounds.  For instance, Microsoft is knowing working with programs to help blind children learn how to code and perform other tasks that will make them competitive in the future job market.

In Spider Silk the novel, the main character, Mark, loves to indulge in an espresso throughout the day. Although he is from a different dimension, espresso plays an important role in our own society. This role may actually become a health demand for me, as scientists have recently revealed that three espressos a day can actually cut back on the likelihood of developing prostate cancer.

Spider silk is rapidly becoming more and more important in our society. In the future, it may help us combat physical ailments, improve defense and even make beautiful clothes. Another big development in the spider silk world is its potential use to create more environmentally friendly architecture. One artist is working to produce the silk into his current artwork, but would love to use this concept for architecture in the new future.
