In Spidersilk the novel, the main character Mark is able to access his third eye with ease. This enables his to defeat his enemies since he has a better realization of the world around him. Not everyone who accesses their third eye has a great experience though. There are some personal accounts of people attracting negativity. Perhaps, this is what Mark’s grandfather attracted?
