As readers begin to follow Mark through his new home there is one change that Mark has to remark on, his yard. The change seems to be subtle at first, but Mark keeps an eye on his yard and it slowly begins to resemble his own styles. In the novel Spidersilk, Mark is filled with Qui, hence his last name, which helps him alter his reality slightly. The yard changes just as his alternative video games are created.
