Spider silk is an incredible substance that will soon change the way our world functions. It is also still a bit of a mystery to scientists. Although they've made leaps and bounds of discoveries this year, they still have a lot to go in regards to using spider silk for the medical and defense fields. Recently, they discovered spider silk genes are even found in spider venom. This could make harnessing the silk possible for even more items.
