Spider silk has pretty much become the hero of the year
already. Between helping improve hearing aids and being contracted to the
military defense department, spider silk is truly taking names. More recently,
it has inspired big name designers to incorporate the material into their own
clothing. This isn’t just for durability and flexibility, but also because the
material is biodegradable. For years, the fashion industry has been criticized
for the wastes they produce, now they can take a stand to make the planet a
little healthier.
