Scientists have had their eye on using spider silk for many medical purposes. In some ways, they have already achieved greatness in this field, but in many other areas scientists are racing against time to find a way to utilize spider silk. For starters, scientists hope to use spider silk to help fight cancer and to reproduce tissue; however humans lack the ability to mimic the proteins needed to process the silk. Luckily, scientists recently made a breakthrough that could allow spider silk to be used to help with many ailments, corrective surgeries and new methods of delivering drugs.
